Red Bull Wreckers Yard Brisbane

June 9th, 2011 | Graffiti | 0 Comments

Twas a great night, watching great artists paint great pieces.  The crowd was really chill and I managed to meet some super-rad people.

Gimiks Born killed the comp and walked away $1K richer.  A sweet video of the night by Taz of Project4000 can be found here.

Everfresh Blackbook

September 14th, 2010 | Graffiti | 0 Comments

My copy of the Everfresh Blackbook arrived the other day. All I have to say is if you are even the faintest bit interested in street art and/or graffiti you should buy it asap. There are so many great photos of their work, studio, travels and even little newspaper insert doo-dahs.

Each of the Everfresh members also has their own little write up which is great, providing a bit more of an insight to each of the guys and the way the approach their art.

Read more about the book on the Everfresh website.

The Yok

August 25th, 2010 | Graffiti | 0 Comments

I have known of The Yok for quite some time now, but for some strange reason, I didn’t realise how much I actually like his work. His characters rock serious balls and he is quite nifty with type treatments as well. I advise you to check out his website and see some love-er-ly work.

Space Invader x Rubik’s Cube

August 23rd, 2010 | Graffiti | 0 Comments

Space Invader has been doing some experimenting lately with Rubik’s Cubes to produce his trademark pixel characters with great success. I really like the fact they relate to each other in being so retro.

I also found that for every mosaic he puts up, he also produces a single ‘Alias’ copy that he casts in resin to live on forever. I would do despicable things to get my hands on an alias…

Check out Space Invader’s websizzle here.
